| Henry Wolf - Junior Henry is a first year
high school cross country runner. Son of Richard and
Ava Wolf

As a junior, Henry joins
us with experience on the track team as a distance runner. He
has great endurance and will power. Henry has quickly adjusted
to the hills and grass of XC. He gained the confidence early in
the season to train and push the leaders of our team. If Henry continues
to adjust to the XC training, he is a strong candidate for being in the
top 10 in the area by the end of the season. Henry ran
over 300 miles this summer to give himself the endurance needed to step
right into our top 7 runners. In Henry's first meet of the season
he cracked into the high 17's and placed 4th on our team. Henry earned
a medal in the Varsity race at the Charleston Invitational by placing 10th.
Henry ran 2nd for our team at this meet and improved forty seconds
from his first meet. He ran in the 17s again for a 4th overall finish
at the Pontiac quad. Henry worked his way onto the
News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leader list in September. Henry ran
a 16:47 at the Prairie Central meet. He made his way into our team'stop
fastest junior ever list at the Charleston Invitational,
the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational, East Peoria Invitational, U-High Invitational,
and Metamora Invitational. Henry ran a 3 mile season PR at the U-High
invitational where he ran a 17:02. Henry went on to earn a medal at
the Metamora Invitational by plcing 40th with a time of 16:44. Henry
ran in the 16's again at conference even though it was a long course. Henry
tied his lifetime PR at the Regional meet and placed 3rd for the team. Henry
ran another 16's at the Sectional meet to run 4th for the team. |
