    As a freshman, Chris comes to our team with jr. high cross country experience under his belt.  Chris ran at the State meet as an 8th grade runner.  He earned his way onto our team's 10 fastest freshman lists for the Charleston Invitational, the Springfield Invitational, the Eureka FS Invitational, the East Peoria Invitational, the U-High Invitational, and the Metamora Invitational.  In his first high school race, he earned a medal at the Charleston Invitational by placing 2nd with a time of 18:05.  He was our 8th fastest runner at the Charleston Invitational.  He earned his way onto our highest open finishes at the Charleston Invitational by placing 2nd.  Chris earned a medal at the Springfield Invitational by placing 6th in the freshman race.  He was a member of the freshman meet championship team at the Springfield Invitational freshmen race.  He earned a medal at the Eureka FS Invitational by placing 11th and running another season personal best.  He was part of the Eureka FS Invitational meet champion team.  Chris went on to run a 3 mile personal best at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational.  He continued to run season best at the East Peoria Invitational where he ran a 17:40.  Chris placed 18th at the U-High Invitational earning him a spot on our top 10 highest open places.  Chris ran a solid time at Metamora and earned his way onto our top ten fastest freshman times at this meet.  Chris made it onto our Regional roster his freshman year.  He earned his way onto the News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders List in September, October, & November.
    As a sophomore, Christ ran 400 miles in the summer.  Chris opened the season by placing in the top 7 for our team and helping his team win the Charleston Invitational.  He really stepped it up as a sophomore stepping into the top 7 spot in early practices and in our first invitational.  He earned his letter for the second year in a row in cross country.  At Chris' second meet, he ran a lifetime personal best on a very challenging Springfield course.  He and his teammate led his team to winning the Open race as a team for the first time in the history of our program.  Chris earned a medal by placing 4th which is the 2nd highest finish our team has ever had at the Springfield Invitational.  Chris led his fresh/soph team at the Peoria Notre Dame invitational.  He broke into the 16s for the first time with an impressive 16:43 which was a 49 second improvement from his previous lifetime best.  Chris ran another lifetime personal best at the East Peoria Invitational with a second time in the 16s.
Chris made his way onto the News-Gazette prep cross country leaders in September.  Chris earned his way onto the top ten fastest sophomore list for the U-High invitational with a time of 17:23.  He went on to earn his way onto the top times list for the Metamora list by running 17:09.  He worked his way onto the News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders list for October.  Chris placed 4th in the open race at our Conference meet with our team's 7th fastest time for the day.  His 16:53 earned him a spot on our regional team.  Chris ran the Regional race and helped his team win the Regional title.  He worked his way onto the News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders list for November.
   As a junior, Chris increased his pre-season miles to over 600 miles.  He joined our 600 mile club.  Chris also earned the title of captain for his junior year.  Chris ran #6 for his team at Charleston where he ran a 17:00.  He earned a medal at the Charleston Invite by placing 18th.  He ran fast enough to earn a spot on our team's fastest times list for the Charleston Invite. Chris
made his way onto the News-Gazette prep cross country leaders in September.   Despite being sick all week Chris ran in the top 7 varsity race at the Springfield invitational.  He helped his team place 2nd.  He ran fast enough to earn a spot on our team's fastest junior times list for the Springfield invitational.  Chris became a 3 year letterman his junior year.  Chris helped his team place the highest they ever had at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational.  Chris ran a lifetime 3 mile best of 16:42.  He earned a spot on our team's fastest junior list at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational.  Chris came back with another 16's at the East Peoria Invitational.  His 16:39 earned him a spot on our team's fastest junior times list for the East Peoria Invitational.  He ran 6th for the team and helped his team win the team championship for the second year in a row.  The next week in practice Chris had a 8 second lifetime best 1 mile with a 4:53.  Chris earned a spot on our Old Dog sub 5 minute mile club.  Chris made his way onto the News Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders List in October.  Chris ran a lifetime personal best at the Metamora Invitational with a 16:27.  He ran the 8th fastest time any MS junior has ever run on that course.  Chris ran  a 17:23 at the Conference meet where he placed 8th in the open race.  Chris made our team's top 12 runner State meet roster.
   As a senior, Chris opened the season at the Charleston Invitational with a 19:07.  He is quickly moving up the pack since the start of the season workouts.  Chris had a major improvement at the Springfield invitational.  He cut off 1 minute and 13 seconds to run a 17:54.  He helped his team win the open race at the Springfield Invitational.  He earned his way onto our team's fastest top senior times list at the Springfield Invitational.  He also earned a spot on our highest places we have ever had in the open race at the Springfield invitational.  Chris made his way on the News-Gazette prep cross country leaders list in September.  Chris ran another season best at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational.  His time of 17:15 was a 39 second improvement from his last race.  His time was fast enough to earn him the 19th spot on our team's fastest top senior times list at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational.  He scored enough letter points to earn his varsity letter.  Chris became one of our few runners over the years to earn a 4th varsity letter in cross country.  Chris ran a 17:51 at the East Peoria Invitational.  His team won for the 3rd year in a row.  His time was fast enough to place him on our top times list for the East Peoria Invitational.  Chris
made his way onto the News-Gazette's prep cross country leaders list in October.  Chris had his best race of the season at the Metamora Invitational.  He ran a 16:58 which earned him a spot on our 16 Minute 3 Mile Club for the third year in a row.  Chris also earned the 14th fastest senior spot for the Metamora Invitational on our fastest times list.  Chris ended his senior year with a great race at the Conference meet.  He ran a time of 17:49 which was a good time for this slow course.  Chris helped his team by placing 5th to win the open race for the first time.  Chris  earned his way onto the News-Gazette's prep cross country leaders list in November.
