As a sophomore, Trevor joined us after having a great track season.  While he ran 5th grade cross country he didn't seem to miss a step as he quickly showed he is a dominate runner in the 3 mile as well.  Trevor ran over 400 miles in the summer and joined our team's 400 mile club.  Trevor had a great first meet as he earned a medal by placing 20th in the Charleston Invitational.  He ran a 17:08 which was fast enough to earn him a spot on our team's fastest top 15 sophomore times list for the Charleston Invitational.  Trevor made his way onto the News-Gazette prep cross country leaders in September.  Trevor was an extremely hard worker in practice.  He was always training with the fastest group.  He ran fast enough to earn a spot on our team's sub 30 South Mahomet Loop club.  Trevor went on to run a 45 second lifetime best at the Springfield Invitational were he ran a 16:23.  His time is the 2nd fastest sophomore time we have ever had on this course so he made our top times list for Springfield.  He placed 16th which earned him a medal.  He also earned a spot on our 16's list for the 3 mile.  Due to Trevor's hard work and discipline in his academics, he earned a spot on our team's scholar/athlete list. After his 2nd meet Trevor earned enough varsity letter points to earn his first high school cross country letter.  Trevor ran another lifetime best at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational with a 16:16.  He ran 6th for his team and helped his team place the highest any MS team has at this invitational.  Trevor ran the 3rd fastest sophomore time for a MS runner at this invitational which earned him a spot on our team's top times list for this invitational.  Trevor made his way onto the News Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders List in October.  Trevor won our team's sportsmanship award his sophomore year.
As a junior, Trevor came out strong.  He ran 300 miles in the summer along with biking.  His quickness is amazing.  He joined our 300 mile club.  Trevor ran very well in our early season workouts and shows he has not lost a step after being injured the last half of track and XC.  Trevor opened up his junior year with an amazing run at the Springfield invitational.  He placed 10th earning a medal in the varsity race.  He helped his team win the Springfield invitational championship by beating the #2 ranked team in the State.  He ran a lifetime personal best of a 16:06.  His time earned him the 6th spot on our team's fastest junior time list for the Springfield invitational.  He earned a spot on the News-Gazette prep cross country leaders list in September.  Trevor earned enough letter points early in the season to win his 2nd varsity cross country letter.  Trevor
made his way onto the News-Gazette's prep cross country leaders list in October.  Trevor had an amazing race at the Metamora Invitational.  He broke into the 15s for the first time with a 15:55.  This earned him the 7th fastest time for a Mahomet runner at the Metamora Invitational.  His time earned him the 25th fastest time for a Mahomet junior in the history of our 44 year program.  Trevor had a great run at the conference meet.  He led the open race until the final 100 when he started to get sick.  He pulled our team to win the open race team championship for the first time in 28 years.  Individually he earned the runner-up individual spot.  He earned a spot on our top 12 State series team roster.  Trevor represented the team well at the Regional meet.  He helped the team run the fastest top 7 runner average of any team we have had run at the Regional meet in 44 years.  Trevor placed 26th.  He ran fast enough to beat 8 of the 9 team's #4 runners and 5 of the team's #3 runners.  He helped our team win the Regional meet.  He also earned a spot on our fastest junior times list for the Regional meet.  Trevor earned his way onto the News-Gazette's prep cross country leaders list in November.
