2013 Meet The Team Mahomet-Seymour Boys Cross Country

As a Freshman, Zack joins us with junior high cross country experience. Zack ran 8th grade cross country. Zack ran well over the summer and ended up with over 200 miles. Zack is a tough runner despite being young. In the early practices of the season you would often see Zack running with the top group. Zack is also quite the encourager of his teammates. He makes a point to cheer on his teammates. Zack opened up his high school career with a great time of 19:13. Zack ran a lifetime personal best at the Springfield Invitational. He ran a 12:17 and placed 5th for his team. He helped lead his team to the freshman race team championship. He earned a spot on the News-Gazette's prep cross country leaders list in September. Zack ran a lifetime personal best at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational when he broke into the 18s for the first time. He ran a 18:54. He earned enough letter points after this meet to earn his first varsity letter. Zack earned his way onto the News-Gazette prep cross country leaders list in October. Zack earned his way onto the News-Gazette prep cross country leaders list in November.
