2015 News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders List in September, October, November, & December
   As a Freshman, Adam joins us with both cross country and track experience at the junior high.  Adam joined cross country midway through his 8th grade year.  His sprinter background helped him earn a top 7 spot on his team.  He helped his team qualify for state in his first year out.  Adam came out with a great first race at the Charleston Invitational.  He ran a 19:41 to earn his first varsity letter points.  He has shown he is both a sprinter and a distance runner.  Adam is more of the most vocal runners on our team.  He is constantly encouraging and cheering on his teammates in workouts.  His team spirit stands out as top notch on our team.  Adam ran an incredible race at the Springfield Invitational.  He helped his team win the Freshman race with the lowest team score we have seen with a score of 16.  Adam earned a medal by placing 7th overall.  He earned a spot on our team's fastest top freshmen times list for the Springfield Invitational by running a 11:57 on a challenging course.  Adam earned a spot on the News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders list in September.  Adam continued to show great effort in his practices which paid off in his third race.  Adam ran a lifetime personal best at the Peoria Notre Dame Invitational with a time of 18:42.  His time was a 59 second improvement from just two weeks earlier.  Adam had the second largest improvement on the team.  Adam earned enough letter points after his third race to earn his first high school varsity letter.  Adam ran one of the best races for our entire team at the East Peoria Invitational.  He ran a 18:42 to place 41st.  His high place helped him earn a spot on our team's top times list for the East Peoria Invitational since it was one of our highest places in the fresh/soph race we have ever had.  He helped his fresh/soph team win the invitational.  Adam placed 41st at the East Peoria Invitational in the fresh/soph race.  He tied his season best time of 18:42.  He helped his team win the invitational.  Adam had a season best at the Metamora Invitational where he ran a 18:13.  This was a personal best by 29 seconds.  His time helped him earn the 26th spot on our team's fastest freshman top times list for the Metamora Invitational.  Adam's last race was his strongest.  Adam ran a lifetime best of 18:01 at the Conference meet.  He improved 12 seconds from his previous best.  Adam earned the 32nd spot on our top on our top freshman times list for Conference.  Adam also earned a spot on the News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders List in October.  Adam also earned a spot on the News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders List in November.  Adam and his teammates earned at medal at the State meet for placing 2nd.  Adam earned a spot on the News-Gazette Prep Cross Country Leaders List in December.
