Mahomet-Seymour High School Boys Cross Country Hall of
Fame Inductee. Alex ran during the 2012, 2013, 2014, & 2015 seasons. Alex earned a varsity letter all four years. Alex was captain of his team his sophomore, junior, and senior years. Alex earned the most valuable runner award his sophomore, junior, and senior year. Alex was the 2014 Springfield Invitational, East Peoria Invitational, & Metamora Invitational champion. Alex was the 2015 Charleston Invitational, Springfield Invitational, East Peoria Invitational, & Metamora Invitational champion. Alex set the Charleston Invitational Meet Record with a 14:52. Alex set the Conference Meet Record with a 14:36. Alex set the Eureka course record with a 14:36 Alex was All-Area his freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior years. Alex was All-Conference his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He placed 2nd as a sophomore. He was conference champion as a junior and senior. Alex was on the All-Regional (top 5) team his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He placed 2nd as a sophomore. He was regional champion as a junior. He was runner-up as a senior. Alex was on the All-Sectional (top 10) team his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He placed 4th as a sophomore. He was sectional champion as a junior. He was runner-up as a senior. Alex was a four time State qualifier (12, 13, 14, 15). He placed 126th in 2012. Alex was on the All-State (top 25) team his junior and senior years. He placed 4th in 2014. He placed 16th in 2015. Alex's fastest time was 14:54* as a sophomore. Alex's fastest time was 14:41 as a junior. Alex's fastest time was 14:36 as a senior. Alex went on to run cross country and track for the University of Illinois. |
