Coach Gary Garrison

Coach Gary Garrison has been a volunteer with the cross country team from the 2004-2005 season to the current season.

He ran both high school track at Washington High School and college track at Illinois State University as a sprinter.  His experience as a runner have helped him relate to what our runners need to be motivated. 

Coach Gary Garrison has coached for over 50 years in track and field.  He was inducted into the Illinois Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame.  As a head coach at St. Joseph-Ogden he won two first place trophies for the boys track team and was an instrumental part in helping the girls team win a first place state trophy in track.  He has coached as an assistant track coach for the boys track team at Mahomet-Seymour High School for over 10 years.  He currently is still coaching track at Mahomet.
