John was a 2020 Mahomet-Seymour High School Boys Cross Country Hall of Fame Inductee. John ran during the 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 seasons.  John earned a varsity letter all four years.  John was captain of his team his sophomore, junior, and senior year.  John earned the most valuable runner award his senior year.   John was All-Conference his junior and senior years.  He placed 9th as a junior and 8th as a senior. John was in the top 10 at Regional his senior year.  He placed 6th in 2011 his senior year. John was on the All-Area  team his junior and senior years.  John was a State qualifier his senior year.  In 2011 he placed 58th.  He helped lead our team to qualify for State the first time as a AA team.   John was the first runner in the history of our program to run 1000 York miles. John's fastest 3 mile time was 15:29.   John went on to run cross country and track for the University of Illinois Track Club.  He also placed in the top 150 at the Boston Marathon.
