was a 2013 Mahomet-Seymour High School Boys Cross Country Hall of Fame
Inductee. Karl ran during the 1982, 1983, and 1984 seasons. Karl was captain of his team his senior year. Karl was runner-up at the 1983 Chrisman Classic #2 race. Karl was runner-up in the 1984 triangular meet against SJO and Oakwood. He was runner-up at the 1984 triangular meet against SJO and Unity. Karl was runner-up at the 1984 SJO Spartan Classic with a 15:06. Karl was meet champion in the #2 race at the 1984 Chrisman Classic. Karl was meet champion in a triangular meet against Argenta and Monticello in 1984. Karl was the most improved runner for our team for both the 1983 and 1984 seasons. Karl was All-Conference his senior year. He placed 2nd behind his teammate. Karl placed 10th in the Regional as a junior. He was on the All-Regional (top 5) team his senior year when he placed 2nd. Karl's fastest time was 15:06. Karl went on to run for 4 years at the University of Michigan. |
