Kyle Emkes
  
Kyle was a 2014 Mahomet-Seymour High School Boys Cross Country Hall of Fame Inductee.

Kyle ran during the 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000 seasons for Mahomet-Seymour.

Kyle was captain of his team his junior and senior years.

Kyle was meet champion in the 1999 Chrisman Classic #2 race.  He was meet champion of the 1999 Decatur/Bloomington triangular meet. 
He was the 1999 8 mile relay champion with Jordan Johnson at the U-High, Prairie Central, & Mahomet meet.  He won the 1999 quadrangular meet with Tuscola, Heritage, and Villa Grove. 

He was the meet champion of the 1999 & 2000 Tuscola Invitational.  Kyle was the meet champion of the 2000 Mahomet-Seymour Invitational.  He was also the two time conference champion in the 3200 meters in track.

Kyle was the most valuable runner as a senior.

Kyle was a four year letterman.

Kyle ran a 15:44 as a junior and a 15:20 at the SJO Spartan Classic as a senior.

Kyle was All-Conference his junior and senior years.  He placed 4th as a junior.  Kyle was conference champion his senior year in 2000.

Kyle was All-Regional his junior and senior years.  He placed 4th in 1999, and 3rd in 2000.  

Kyle was on the All-Sectional team his senior year.  He placed 4th

Kyle was a State qualifier in 2000.  He placed 53rd. 


Kyle went on to run cross country and track for the University of Illinois from 2001-2004.
At the University of Illinois he ran a 8:31 for the 3000 meters, a 4:19 for the full mile (not 1600 meters), and a 26:15 in the 8000 meters.   2003 U of I Cross Country Program.
