Lucas was a 2020 Mahomet-Seymour High School Boys Cross Country Hall of Fame Inductee. Lucas ran during the 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 seasons.  Lucas earned a varsity letter all four years.  Lucas was captain of his team his sophomore, junior, and senior year.  Lucas earned the most valuable runner award his sophomore, junior and senior years.   Lucas was All-Conference his sophomore, junior and senior years.  He placed 9th as a sophomore, 7th as a junior and 7th as a senior. Lucas placed in the top 10 in the Regional his sophomore, junior, and senior years.  He placed 9th as a sophomore.  He placed 9th as a junior. Lucas was All-Regional his senior year.  He placed 4th in 2011 as a senior. Lucas was on the All-Area team his sophomore, junior and senior years.  Lucas was a State qualifier his junior and senior years.  In 2010 he placed 106th.  In 2011 he placed 49th.  He helped lead our team to qualify for State the first time as a AA team. Lucas' fastest 3 mile time was 15:21.   Lucas went on to run cross country and track for the Murray State University.
