| Mark was a 2011 Mahomet-Seymour
High School Boys Cross Country Hall of Fame Inductee. Mark ran on the team during the 1978, 1979, and 1980 seasons. Mark was meet champion in the 1979 dual meet vs Monticello. He was also the meet champion in the 1979 dual meet vs Rautoul. He was the meet champion in the 1979 dual vs GRF. Mark also won the 1979 dual against Argenta. Mark was on the All-Conference team in 1979. He placed third. Mark was on the All-Regional (top 5) team in 1978 and 1980. He placed 3rd both years. Mark was on the All-Sectional (top 10) team in 1978. He placed 7th. Mark was a three time State qualifier (1978, 1979, an 1980). He was an All-State (top 25) runner 2 years. In 1978, he placed 25th. In 1980, he placed 17th. He is one of only a few runners in the history of our program to place at State more than one year in cross country. He led his team at State in 1978, 1979, and 1980. Mark ran three years at the University of Mexico and one year at the University of Illinois after high school. |
