| COLLEGE
RUNNER UPDATES Justin Sebens (2007 Alumni) is running XC and track for Carthage College this season. Justin ran as high as #3 for his team and in the 25's for 5 miles. Taylor Sebestik (2004 Alumni) is running in his 4th year of XC and track for Illinois State University. Taylor ran personal bests in the 8K in the 26's during his senior year. |
2008-2009
XC SEASON NEWS Our boys placed 2nd in the Cornbelt Conference Meet. This ties the highest that a boys XC team has placed in the past 22 years of being in this conference and the highest they have placed in 12 years. John Prillaman and Jacob Mahaffey made all-conference. Our boys placed 1st in the Regional meet for the 2nd year in a row. This year the News Gazette selected 20 News Gazette All-Area runners. Mahomet-Seymour had four selected. Jacob Mahaffey, Austin Beck, John Prillaman & Dustin Kinkelaar. Our team has a group that runs throughout the winter. It is called the Winter Warriors Running Club. |
