and alumni pages.was held on Tuesday, November 6th at 6:00 pm in the high school auditorium I
am in search of old meet records and awards programs. If you have
any that you would be willing to let me copy, please call or email me.
Jacob Mahaffey (2009) is running for his forth year of XC and track for Carthage College the 2012-13 season. He ran 1st and 2nd for his team throughout the 2009, 2010, and 2011 seasons. Jacob earned XC Athlete of the Week honors for his conference during the 2010 season. He also earned XC Athlete of the week in 2012. He won one of the first invitionals of his season during his senior year. He earned XC Athlete of the Week twice his senior year by his conference. He won the major Benedictine Invitational his senior year. Henry Wolf (2010) is running for his third year on the Illinois Cross Country and Track Club team for the 2012-13 season. He ran a 27:48 at the National meet. His team placed 1st in 2011-2012. National Intercollegiate Running Club National Meet Results. John Prillaman (2011) ran for Danville Area Community College's Cross Country Team for the 2011-12 season. John's team won the Regional meet and qualified for Nationals as a freshman. DACC placed 10th as a team at the NJCAA Div I National meet. 2011 NJCAA National Results. John transferred his sophomore year and is running for PIMA Community College. John Butcher (2012) is running for his first year on the Illinois Cross Country and Track Club team for the 2012-13 season. Dan Leiws (2012) is running for Illinois College's Cross Country and Track Team for the 2012-13 season. He committed to run for Illinois College his senior year. Dan started off to a great XC season at Illinois College. Cale
McCormick (2012) is running for Augustana College's Cross Country
and Track Team for the 2012-13 season. He signed with Augustana
College in the spring of his senior year. Cale ran strong in his
first college race. His school even mentioned that he has the ability
to get into their top 7 varsity runners this season.
Lucas Prather (2012) is running for Murray State University's
Cross Country Team for the 2012-13 season. He signed with Murray
State in the spring of his senior year. Lucas placed #1 on his team
for his first three college XC races and is now running
in the 26's for 5 miles. His season personal best is a 26:40.
Coach Gary Garrison (father of Neal Garrison)
was inducted into the Illinois Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches
Hall of Fame. After 40 years of coaching at 3 schools, Gary was honored
for his significant accomplishments as a coach and his contribution to the
sport. Each year the ITCCCA inducts about 7 coaches a year to be in
the hall of fame. The list is small but includes many great college
and high school coaches. Coach Gary Garrison currently is a volunteer
XC coach for Mahomet-Seymour and an assistant Track coach for Mahomet-Seymour.
He is often asked to speak at track clinics throughout the State to educate
