Tom Appenzeller
 
Tom was a 2019 Mahomet-Seymour High School Boys Cross Country Hall of Fame Inductee.

Tom coached the Mahomet-Seymour junior high school cross country team during the 1986-2011 seasons.


Tom's work directly contributed to the success of the high school program for decades.  He laid the foundation for the cross country program.  He taught a love for running and also gave the runners a tremendous amount of success.

Tom coached his boys teams to qualify for State 14 years.

2008 - 21st
2009 - 11th

Tom coached 15 All-State runners.

Tom coached Jordan Johnson to a State Championship in 1997.

Tom can be quoted as saying "It was a 26 year long fun-run for me and long-time assistant coaches Marcia Carlier and Lisa Martin.  What we did best was instill confidence in runners new to the sport of Cross-Country."
