 2010 Teacher Fun Run
Mahomet-Seymour has very supportive teachers.  Many of our teachers go out of their way to help our student/athletes on a daily basis.  Our team appreciates the hard work they do and invites them to join us in a fun run.  Our teachers do a great job of running on little training.  Teachers and parents are given the option of either running 1 mile or 3 miles.  Our boys team is divided into equal groups to race against the teachers/parents team.

2010 Teacher/Parent Team Members

Debbie Butcher Mother of superstar runner John Butcher.  Ran cross country and track for Illinois State University.  She has run the Chicago Marathon three times with a best time of 3:28.  She works part time as a substitute teacher for the Mahomet-Seymour schools.  2009 Teacher Fun Run fastest female award winner.  2nd year teacher fun run competitor.

Jeff Butcher Father of superstar runner John Butcher.  Has run a 3:27 marathon at the Chicago Marathon.  2009 Teacher Fun Run fastest father  award winner.  2nd year teacher fun run competitor.
Neal Garrison MS High School Guidance Counselor and Cross Country Coach.  Owner of a great dane named Tiny.  Neal's wife was in the top 7 of her college cross country team at EIU.  Neal's wife also coached XC for 1 year at St Joe jr high. After winning State she retired.  Neal enjoys running any race no matter what distance the race is.  2004Teacher Fun Run award winner for being the fastest former volleyball coach.  2005 - 2009 Teacher Fun Run fastest counselor award winner.  7th year teacher fun run competitor.  

Licia Lukach MS High School Special Education Instructor in the Young Adult Program.  Started running again this past summer with son, Noah.  Started the girls first cross-country team at her high school 33 years ago.  She competed in the 5K Run for the Boys and Girls Club in August while pushing her son Noah in his wheelchair!  1st year teacher fun run competitor.  

Noah Lukach MS High School Super Senior.  Started "running" this past summer with his mom, Licia.  He competed in his first 5K Race this past August and finished 2 seconds ahead of his mom! In his spare time Noah enjoys watching sports on TV.  His favorite teams are the Illini and the Minnesota Vikings.  1st year teacher fun run competitor.

Stephanie Middendorf Mother of superstar runner Daniel Middendorf.  1st year teacher fun run competitor.

Lauren Oliger MS High School Supportive Services Aide in the Young Adult Program.  She is a 2005 graduate of MSHS and a 2008 graduate of Millikin University.  She is currently working towards her Masters in Social Work at the U of I. She decided to run the teacher fun run because she loves running with other people and her dog Cooper.  1st year teacher fun run competitor.

Daren Prather Father of superstar runner Lucas Prather.  1st year teacher fun run competitor.

LuAnn Prillaman Mother of superstar runner John Prillaman.  Runs for fun and is a 1st year participant in the mile teacher/parent run fun.

Paul Schaap Area doctor by profession and father of running superstars Jonathan, Matthew, and Hannah Schaap.  Boosters Cross Country representative (along with his wife Lori).  Lifelong runner and area age group superstar. In 2009, he raced the Wilderness run just 3 days before the teacher fun run and placing 2nd in his division.  He ran his first marathon in 2010 at the Illinois Marathon with a time of 4:20.  He also recently ran the 5K rat race in a time of 21:19.  2009 Teacher Fun Run fastest doctor award winner.  2nd year teacher fun run competitor.

2010 Teacher Fun Run Results       The boys from the XC team were divided into equal teams.  The teachers had a separate team.  The teachers were given the option of running either 1 or 3 miles.
